It is difficult to describe something like style. You will, perhaps, gain more information from looking at our photography in the galleries, however we thought it would be important to say a few words here. We are an energetic fun-loving couple. We feed off of the energy of a wedding and enjoy the chance to be part of such a special day. Photographically we prefer a more relaxed and "authentic" approach to our photography. Candid, spontaneous moments not only are more enjoyable to look at, but they tend to convey the feeling of the day more so than the traditional posed portrait. We believe that we are there to capture your wedding day the way it truly was, and thus remain as unobtrusive as possible. We will never interrupt a wedding ceremony for a better shot. Most couples find it important to include a segment of group photographs of their family and friends, and we are only too happy to oblige. During the formal photographs, we do our best to capture candid moments throughout, thus still documenting your day even during the formal photographs. In fact, many of our greatest photographs come from candid moments taken after a couple or a group has been arranged for a photograph. We encourage all of our clients to feel as relaxed as possible. Don't hesitate to have fun during your photography session. The best photographs come from those who are not afraid to have some spontaneous fun. The more fun you allow yourself to have, the more opportunities we have to capture great moments. When we meet to discuss your wedding, we will give you some tips and tools to help make the group photographs truly painless, and make sure that you can leave the details to us on your wedding day. In addition to candid and formal portraits, we also make sure we capture the details of your wedding day that are so often overlooked, yet so much time has been invested to prepare. Al has taught photography classes for the Richmond School Board, and has worked in the industry selling photographic equipment.
