Booking with us

Thank you for considering us to photograph your wedding. Here are the steps involved for booking us to photograph your wedding.

Meeting
We encourage a meeting as it is important that you feel comfortable with the photographers you choose for your wedding. We will spend a significant portion of your wedding day working with you very closely, so a good fit of personality is important. This is also a great time for us to go over the details of your wedding day, and an opportunity for you to ask any questions you may still have.

It takes the energy of both groups; the photographers and the wedding couple, to make great photographs. Without a comfortable and enjoyable connection between both, your photographs will only be photographs.

Booking
Once you have decided that you would like to book with us, we require a deposit, in the amount of 50% of your total booking amount, as well as a signed contract. The deposit is non-refundable as we most often get multiple inquiries on any given wedding day.

The remaining 50% is due 2 weeks prior to your wedding. Please note, it is your responsibility to remember to send this payment by the due date. You may give us a post-dated cheque at any time, or pay your second payment at any time before your due date.

We accept cash, direct deposit through email money transfer, cheques, and credit cards, including Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Diners Club through our web site.

Contract
When we meet, we will provide you with a package of information as well as our contract. When you make arrangement for payment, please send your signed contract to us in the mail. We will co-sign the contract on our end, and send you a photocopy for your records.

Your wedding day is not reserved with us until we have both your 50% deposit, and your contract. The first couple to provide us with a signed contract and 50% deposit for a given day, books that day. In the circumstance where more than one couple has put a deposit on the same day, the couple who provides the contract first will confirm their booking, and the other couple will get a full refund of the deposit amount.

Photography Checklist
In our Information Package, we have included a photography checklist. This checklist is the blueprint for us on your wedding day. It includes a long list of possible groupings for formal photographs, and lots of room for extra information you may want us to know about. Please complete this checklist as early as possible, as it sometimes leads to timing questions in regards to groupings.

Keeping us up to date
As details about your wedding day change, please keep us up to date, especially as we near your wedding day. We would very much appreciate a copy of your itinerary before your wedding day for our planning purposes, as well as up to date phone numbers, including cell phone numbers. If any address information has changed, we will need that information as well. If one of us is meeting you at a hotel, please let us know which hotel you are staying in, and if possible, what room we'll be able to find you in.

Your Wedding Day
As the time nears for us to leave on your wedding day, we will check with you to make sure that we have captured everything you wanted. We are happy to stay up to an hour past our booked time, should you need us to. We request however, that you use this time as an emergency backup, rather than a default.

Post-Wedding
The processing of your wedding photographs takes a significant amount of time. Most often, the time spent working on your wedding equals and sometimes exceeds the time spent photographing it. Each and every photograph taken is adjusted for perfect colour and exposure. Between April and September, our turn around time for your wedding photographs is in between 6 and 8 weeks. The earlier in the year we photograph you, the shorter this time is likely to be.

Should you choose to order additional proof books or DVD copies, these can be ordered up until the time we start to process your wedding. If you are unsure, please check with us and we'll be happy to let you know.

When your Photographs are ready
The moment we are done with your wedding package we will let you know. If you book us for 6 hours or more, and we are building an album for you, your online photographs will often be ready before the album is ready. When this is the case, we will email you your password so that you can access your photographs as soon as possible.

We will ship your wedding package to you the moment it is ready. Packages arrive via ExpressPost, and can be sent to work or home addresses, depending on where you are most likely to be during the day. If you'd like us to ship to an address other than the address we have on file, please let us know ahead of time.

Post Wedding Support
We will remain happy to help you after your wedding has passed in any way that we can. Should you require help making prints, or need information or help with anything else photography related, we are happy to help.

Please Note, locations requiring significant travel, for example, Whistler, Gulf Islands/Vancouver Island, and the Interior will require travel expenses to be covered. Extra may be charged for travel time in these situations as well.
